Our Mission
We are a part of the larger Christian community, a congregation of people from a wide variety of cultures, who express our faith through the traditions, theology and liturgy of the Lutheran Church.
Our purpose is to make a home for the sojourner, to meet the spiritual, social, emotional and physical needs of our members and those around us, by providing opportunities for worship, witness, learning and support.
About St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church
In 2009 we opened a new apartment building, LutherPlace, in order to provide affordable housing. This provided a brand new mission for our church: to be of service to the community and fill a pressing need in society. Our pastor provides spiritual help and guidance for the residents, and most of our financial resources go toward making this possible. Your contribution will provide valuable support for this mission, and will ensure its long-term viability.
