St. Peter’s Hospital was established in Melville, Saskatchewan by the Sisters of St Martha in 1940,serving all the people of Melville and district in a caring, compassionate and respectful atmosphere. In 2000 we moved to a new 30 bed facility adjacent to our nursing home and homecare/ community services facilities.

St. Peter’s Hospital Foundation (SPHF) is a registered charity consisting of volunteers whose purpose is to advance the welfare and good of St Peter’s Hospital by raising funds through obtaining donations, grants, and gifts. A major portion of the annual revenue is used for funding equipment and furnishings for the hospital. Not surprisingly our fund is not large enough to generate sufficient funds to meet all requests.

In an effort to keep current with new technology, our administration requested we consider financing “Patient Connect Units” which greatly enhance the method by which bedside records are documented, maintained, and accessed, thereby improving patient outcomes. The total cost of the project is approximately $240,000.Our foundation felt this project was worthy enough to proceed and would like to take this opportunity to appeal to potential donors for financial assistance.
