An Independent Neighborhood Cinema

Founded in 2010, the Corporation du Cinéma Station Vu is a social economy enterprise governed by a volunteer board of directors made up of film lovers and residents of Montreal’s East End. Its mission: to enhance cultural offerings in the East of Montreal by showcasing the best of local and international cinema. Its screening venue, the Marie-Claire and Richard Séguin Hall at the Centre Roussin, offers large-screen projections with surround sound and can accommodate up to 100 people. Engaging discussions with filmmakers and creators frequently follow the screenings.

Rooted in the Community

A member of the CDC de la Pointe and the Pointe-aux-Trembles Business and Professional Association, Station VU is committed to serving its community and understanding its interests and needs. As a space for discovery, it helps audiences explore and appreciate new perspectives. Its diverse programming reflects a vision centered on originality and a welcoming atmosphere. Since its beginnings in the Mercier-Est borough, Station VU has stood out through a community-based approach that leverages cinema as a tool for social empowerment and integration.

Over time, various partnerships have been formed with organizations and collaborators who are dedicated to civic engagement and development. Station VU also contributes to the programming of the Maison de la culture de Pointe-aux-Trembles and offers youth programming during spring break.

Firmly committed to promoting Quebec culture, Station VU highlights Quebec filmmakers and artisans, regularly inviting them to engage with the public. These encounters are at the heart of its activities and identity.
