The Stirling Festival Theatre Inc. (SFT), founded in 1996, is a not-for-profit provincially incorporated organization, with federal charitable status. We operate under the oversight and governance of a volunteer Board of Directors leading a small staff, contracted workers and dedicated community volunteers tasked with producing and presenting a wide variety of live entertainment experiences as well as providing education opportunities for youth in our region.
SFT is the only professional theatre in a 90 km radius from Stirling operating year-round and attracts audiences from as far away as Peterborough, Kingston and the eastern GTA to two performance venues. The main auditorium, seating 400, accommodates larger productions including: Young Company shows, tribute bands, concerts, and the annual musical theatre Panto. The flexible-seating upper Eugene Burrell Hall accommodates 100 and is an intimate setting for murder mystery dinner theatres, comedy nights, concerts, play-readings, special events and pre-show dinners.
MISSION STATEMENT: It is the purpose of The Stirling Festival Theatre Inc. to promote interest in, and appreciation of, the dramatic arts within our community. The SFT will present professional theatrical events and will provide facilities for education in the arts. We will place special emphasis on education and performance opportunities for youth within our community and surrounding area.
