About the Stratford Symphony Orchestra . . .

Since its founding as the Stratford Civic Orchestra in 2004, the Stratford Symphony Orchestra has been a phenomenal professional orchestra serving an exceptional community! We deliver a range of programs that are largely supported through ticket sales and donations. In the absence of conducting in-person concerts, the orchestra finds itself more reliant than ever on donations from generous supporters, like you.

Did you know a $50 donation pays for a high school students online music lesson, or that $100 will sponsor a musician playing at a public event?

As a donor or sponsor, you not only receive satisfaction by helping SSO, you can also become a Member ($50 and up) and receive recognition and benefits. All donations of $20 or more receive a tax-deductible receipt.

• Free, online music lessons for high school music students
• Research and development of supplementary education materials
• Online videos made by our SSO musicians

Donations are also vital for the development of our community outreach programs and education programs, like:

• Cushion Concerts
• Classical Brunches
• House concerts
• Small ensemble outreach (Healthcare facilities; Market Square; Christmas market)
• Christmas Sing Along
• Cows and Classics concert
• SSO musicians performing in public spaces of Stratford
• Conduct Us program  
• Free online music lessons for high school students
• Emerging Artist Competition, with winners performing with the SSO
• Music Monday activities in collaboration with local elementary schools
• Guest conductors / guest artists giving lecture/demonstrations in area high schools

 Our Musicians cannot wait to provide, once again, the thrill of a live concert experience! In the meantime, SSO continues to create music and provide education and community programs in innovative ways - as a result of your support.
