This fundraiser is a matching campaign with J.T. Clark Family Foundation, who will be donating $20,000 subject to Struts Gallery raising $20,000 by Dec. 1, 2026.
We are renovating the front-facing wall of Struts Gallery. The first phase includes brick-repointing using heritage methods, restoring the windows to the historic Tingley Bros & Duncan storefront look and installing an accessible front door in the iconic yellow that we all know and love.
Why are we renovating? Our engineering consultants at Heritage Standing Inc. identified that our front wall was rapidly degrading and immediate intervention was needed to protect and stabilize it. Engineered shoring was installed in June 2026 and permanent repairs are beginning September, 21 2026. This phase of work will cost us about $200,000 total. We are urgently fundraising to cover these construction expenses.
We are deeply thankful for the visitors, members, and community partners that have contributed to the Building Fund thus far. The total project budget is being supported by the Sheila Hugh Mackay Foundation, the Government of New Brunswick, the McCain Foundation, the Downtown Sackville BIA, and Rotary Club of Sackville.
