Our Mission is to provide residents in Summerland and area access to safe, affordable recreational, cultural, and educational opportunities that build a strong sense of community.

We are an incorporated charitable nonprofit.  Our building and land are 100% owned by its members and run completely by volunteers.  A Fundraising Committee formed early in 2025 which now looks for ways to fundraise.

We are here to serve the community and provide a safe space for social networking through the following -

Activities:  We provide opportunities for people to become involved in activities such as Bridge, Tai Chi, Shuffleboard, Strummers, Snooker, Mahjong, Aikido, Table Tennis, and so on.  For all activities there is a small user/activity fee.  

Educational programs have become more of a highlight in the past couple of years.  We have hosted sessions concerning tax preparation, fraud and scam prevention, internet safety, and food-related courses. 

Embracing the arts:  Special events such as concerts are a monthly highlight.  Admission cost is very reasonable, both to make it affordable for the public, and to provide a venue and income for our local performers.  The ticket price is shared between the Centre and the performers.    

These features figure prominently in providing a welcoming environment for people to meet, socialize, and keep active.
