Sundre United Church has roots that go back to 1924 when our community was served by student missionaries from Eastern Canada.
The United Church is the largest Protestant denomination in Canada and it's history is entwined with the development of Canada itself.
Like other Christian churches, The United Church of Canada is rooted in God, Jesus, and the Bible. However the way we understand God, practice our faith, and read the Bible is distinct, just as it is distinct in other denominations of the Christian Church.
Sundre United Church financially supports overseas missionary activities by gifting funds through our denomination headquarters which is a registered charity. We volunteer at the Sundre Thrift Shop, Meals on Wheels, hospitals and Lodges. We provide Christian Services and Pastoral Care as well as support to Church camps and Training Schools.We also volunteer our services to choirs. Our main focus is caring for our parishioners and maintaining the church
