The Sunshine Coast Marine Rescue Society (SCMRS) is a non-profit organization established in accordance with the Societies Act of British Columbia.
The Sunshine Coast Marine Rescue Society is the supporting financial body behind Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 12. SCMRS exists to enable RCM-SAR, Station 12 realize its objective of “Saving Lives on the Water”. Activities of the Society include fundraising, donor management and recognition, asset management (funds), risk management (insurance) and disbursement of funds and payment of expenses.
RCM-SAR Station 12 is a key part of the marine rescue system on the West Coast. We serve the lower Sunshine Coast communities, providing round-the-clock rescue on the water.
