It Takes a Library to Raise a Community . . .
Every day, Surrey Libraries helps people discover something new, connect with their community or feel inspired by our programs and services. The Library is a gathering place; a symbol of intellectual curiosity and respect for learning. We raise funds to provide access to local and global information and ideas, and offer FREE community programming that encourages literacy and supports lifelong learning for all Surrey residents.
We are busier than ever! In 2016:
- 3.65 million materials were borrowed
- 2.48 million in person visits to our 9 branches
- 2.08 million visits to our website
- 24% increase in eBooks borrowed
Libraries play a leading role in our communities as vibrant community hubs, welcoming and open to everyone from young and old, supporting long-time residents and newcomers alike.
