SUMS Place is a non-profit organization aiding the homeless and those in poverty around the Whalley area. Our vision is to provide a place for all in need and our mission is to be a bridge for Christ's love, nurturing hope in the community.
We presently operate 4 shelters, 1 rent subsidized housing unit, and a community kitchen serving more than 20,000 meals per month. We provide advocacy, care and support to those in our area through assisting them in obtaining government documents, finding appropriate housing, referrals to detox and treatment centers, BC Housing support, and numerous community resources and agencies.
Our services are funded by the generous support of many local churches and community groups and private donors who we are so thankful for our volunteers who keep us running and allow us to be a Bridge to Hope.
