At Swing for Scoliosis, our mission goes beyond raising awareness—we strive to fill critical gaps in scoliosis care and ensure that every child has access to the treatment they need. One of the most significant challenges families face is the cost of scoliosis bracing, which is often not covered by third-party insurance providers and remains financially out of reach for many. Without financial assistance, families are left with two difficult choices: fundraise to cover the costs or go without essential bracing, which can lead to worsened spinal curvature and long-term health complications.

We are committed to funding scoliosis bracing for youth, helping alleviate this financial burden so that no child is denied treatment due to cost.

In addition to supporting treatment access, Swing for Scoliosis is also working toward an important preventive initiative—early scoliosis detection. Our goal is to implement preventative scoliosis screening programs in local Nova Scotia schools, ensuring that scoliosis is identified early when treatment is most effective.
