Talitha Koum Society is a non-profit organization empowering women with addictions to lead healthy and fulfilling lives by providing a home, a nurturing community, 12 step programming and life skills training.  

About TALITHA KOUM SOCIETY

Based on the restorative justice principles of balance, healing and wholeness, Talitha Koum Society in Coquitlam, British Columbia operates two 9-bed recovery programs for women. We offer safe and nurturing homes for women who have been in conflict with society where they work on the issues that have led them into trouble.  All of our clients come to us suffering from addiction and its related issues (eg. poverty, homelessness, violence, abuse, criminal activity).

Focusing on spiritual growth through the God of each woman's understanding, the 12 steps of AA, one-on-one counselling, group programming and community services including alcohol and drug counselling, we re-integrate our women back into society as productive citizens.

We accept women into our homes regardless of race, age, disability or spiritual belief, and provide them with opportunities to develop and grow into people who take responsibility for their own lives.

Talitha Koum is one of the few recovery facilities that accepts women with children as we strive to break the generational cycle of addiction and poverty. We believe that keeping mothers and children together improves the likelihood of long-term success and helps with the healing process. 

Staffed 24/7 with experienced personnel, many of whom are Talitha Koum graduates that can directly relate to the needs of our clients, Talitha Koum speaks directly to the women who seek us out and who are sent to us.
