Tamarack Institute for Community Engagement is a connected force for community change, building the capacity of changemakers in cities and communities, within Canada, and around the world. Tamarack works to support close to 200 local communities around five practice areas: collective action, community engagement, collaborative leadership, community innovation and, evaluating impact. Tamarack catalyzes these areas with diverse leaders to solve major community challenges. 

Tamarack’s Vibrant Communities focuses on bridging these theories into practice, by supporting member organizations and collaboratives to achieve local and networked impact through four pan-Canadian issue-based networks, Communities Ending Poverty, Communities Building Belonging, Communities Building Youth Futures, and Community Climate Transitions.

For 24 years, Tamarack has built a network of local community partnerships that reach nearly 60% of Canada's population. Over 37,000 active learners participate in cohorts, communities of practice, and learning that support their work to build strong resident groups, engage residents in local policymaking, and build local structures that allow neighbors to help neighbors in the most challenging times.
