Team Unbreakable is improving youth mental health through awareness, prevention, and therapy.
Our Team Unbreakable Run Program - in schools as a fun run club and in healthcare settings as treatment - teaches youth how running empowers them, improves their mood, and enables them to better cope with anxiety, stress, and depression.
It's "Physical health for mental health".
The Team Unbreakable Run Program provides tools and resources that instill confidence, enabling these young participants to overcome challenges, build character, and have fun.
It is a free, non-competitive program with a curriculum that includes lessons in mindfulness, nutrition, stretching and more. The 10-12 week program ends with a community 5km run, which is also the GOAL event of the program participants.
Our program log books in which the participant describes their mood pre and post run - literally shows them how running enhances their mood, and relieves stress, anxiety and depression.
They build awareness, self-esteem and resilience, and have a real understanding they take with them into adulthood.
