With 1.3 billion people, health experts are terrified of a possible Coronavirus outbreak in Africa. The health systems in the countries we work are not capable of dealing with a crisis like the Coronavirus. Kenya, a nation of 50 million people, only has 130 ICU beds for the whole country.
Yet with your help we can fight the spread of the virus and help save a great many lives.
We are raising money to offer protection to 200,000 of the most vulnerable people. The funds will go towards providing soap, hand sanitizer, bleach, educational materials, gloves and face masks - simple tools that will save lives.
Our partners will have to innovate. How do you practice good hand washing without running water? How does “social distancing” work when you share a hut with other families? And they have to inspire their neighbours to do what’s necessary.
As pastors and chuch leaders lead their communities against Covid-19, we want to protect them any way we can.
