About the Tempus Choral Society

 The Tempus Choral Society is a community choir for singers 18 years of age and over. With over 90 members, Tempus boasts a varied musical repertoire including Sacred, Broadway, Jazz, Classical, Gospel and Contemporary. Tempus performs throughout the year with major concerts during December and May.  Tempus4Us children's choir ages 7-14; takes a child's love of singing balancing a musical education of sight-singing, ear-training and theory, with a varied musical repertoire! Tempus Jazz is a mixed choir of inspired singers striving to develop their musical skills while balancing an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie! Similarly, Tempus Moderne is a choir inspired by unique pieces of music sang in a smaller group context. Tempus has two mandates:

• To promote excellence in choral music both in Ontario and on a National and International level through concerts, competitions and choral festivals
• To foster musical youth groups by including them in Tempus performances to help fund noteworthy local causes by raising money through performances and sales of their CD's
