Protect | Restore | NurtureThames Talbot Land Trust (TTLT) is a registered charity with a mission to protect, conserve, and restore nature within Elgin, Middlesex, Oxford and Perth counties, contributing to a stable climate, human wellbeing, and healthy habitats for all species.Our vision is to create a network of permanently protected areas that are rich in biodiversity, sustain life and nourish a sense of wonder and inspiration for all people.We protect our region's vulnerable species by protecting natural land and restoring ecosystemsPublic participation is important to our mission - we aim to engage community members through hands-on workshops and fun nature eventsOur work today is building a greener future for tomorrowWe currently protect more than 2300 acres of land (and still growing!), which is home to at least 70 species-at-risk.TTLT acknowledges that the land on which it operates lies within the territories of the Haudenosaunee, Anishinaabeg, Lenaapeewak, Attawandaron, and Wendat peoples. In addition, the First Nations communities in the area we work in are Chippewas of the Thames First Nation, Oneida Nation of the Thames, Munsee Delaware Nation, Delaware Nation at Moraviantown, and Kettle & Stony Point First Nation. We value the significant historical and contemporary contributions of local and regional First Nations and all of the original peoples of Turtle Island.
