Seniors are the heart, mind and soul of 411 leading programming, advocacy services, and social activities in Vancouver and Lower Mainland.
The 411 Foundation's sole purpose is to support the mission of The 411 Seniors Centre Society. 411 is the essential go-to source of information and camaraderie for many older adults in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland. Guided by our founding principles and grassroots nature, we mobilize older adults' strengths, talents, interests, and expertise to make real, positive changes for seniors and their communities.
Collaborating with 411 Seniors Centre Society's small staff, seniors lead programming, advocacy services, communications and social activities. 411 annually serves 5,700 seniors, with 90% being low income, 65% women and 40% whose first language is not English. Every month, members have access to more than 40 free services and low-cost programs initiated and delivered by 411. Our programs range from crisis intervention and food security services to language courses and podcasts. We rely on donations to continue our work.
