The Society of We Are Canadians Too was formed during the Canadian 150 celebration with the goal of being a platform for Canadians of all backgrounds to have a voice. 

The purposes of the Society are:

1. To advance the public’s appreciation of the visual and performing arts by producing art exhibitions, presentations, and performance arts events, and by proving a forum for qualified artists to exhibit, present, or perform their artistic works through participation in such events.

2. To advance education and increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the visual and performing arts by providing opportunities for workshops and seminars in the arts, as well as presentations to the community.

3. To do all such other things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of the purposes of the Society.

Pancouver.ca

On November 28, 2022, the society initiated Pancouver.ca an online platform that fosters greater understanding and awareness of underrepresented artistic communities. It will assist underrepresented artists through the creation of English-language content that will be translated into other languages and made available for free to media outlets under a Creative Commons licence. In addition, Pancouver will provide free workshops to underrepresented artists, students, and organizations to promote media literacy and make them more aware of how to get their stories told through the media. Pancouver will enable underrepresented artists to attract larger audiences and, ideally, leverage more funding through public and private sources.
