The Aeolian Singers have established an enviable reputation for fine choral singing, dating right back to its founding by Claire Wall in 1976 in Dartmouth.
Carrying forward their great tradition of presenting attractive repertoire of music for women’s voices under the direction of Heather Fraser, the Aeolian Singers have embarked on new and novel paths and commissioned new works by Canadian women composers Carmen Braden, Frances Farrell and Marie-Claire Saindon.
The choir has toured the UK, Europe and many parts of Canada, and is an enthusiastic champion of new music by Canadian and other composers for women’s voices. The Aeolian Singers have won multiple music festivals, performed with Symphony Nova Scotia, and collaborated with many local musicians, singer/songwriters, dancers and storytellers over the past 44 years as well as welcomed Wolfville pianist Mary Castello as their new concert accompanist.
Stay in touch by joining the mailing list and visiting the choir on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. New singers are always welcome to audition - all this and more on our website: AeolianSingers.ca
