Our Mission
The Airdrie Community Choir seeks to inspire a sense of community through music within the city of Airdrie and the surrounding area. By performing at events such as the local Remembrance Day celebrations, the Airdrie Festival of Lights, and CBC Knox Carolfest, hosting Singfest, the local community Christmas concert, and our popular annual spring concerts, the Airdrie Community Choir has become an integral part of the community and the local performing arts scene. As a community choir, we endeavour to give back to our community and will once again this year perform at a number of senior's homes in Airdrie and neighbouring communities.
About THE AIRDRIE COMMUNITY CHOIR ASSOCIATION
The Airdrie Community Choir was started in 1985 by a group of 35 founding members. We now average 50 members each year. The purpose of the ACC is to have fun singing and to promote adult choral music within the community. The choir is registered under the Societies’ Act as a non- profit society. It is governed by a set of specific bylaws, and operated under the guidance of the Board of Directors. The Board is elected at the annual general meeting, held in October.
