WORSHIP I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. (Rom 12:1)
We will - Continue to use projected BAS worship as the main liturgical resource for Sunday worship - Offer weekly Sunday worship and seasonal and special occasion worship - Continue a team approach to worship planning and leadership - Provide pastoral and sacramental offices - Promote LAM Regional and ecumenical gatherings and worship
DISCIPLESHIP Grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen. (2 Peter 3:18)
We will: - Nurture and teach disciples - Provide year-round opportunities for members to offer their time, talents and treasure - Provide appropriate training and financial support to lay leaders for ministry and mission - Continue to provide Sunday School program - Equip individuals and families as evangelists (e.g. by offering resources for family Christian education)
MINISTRY Jesus said "I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing." (John 15:5)
We will: - Encourage the strengthening and growth of Leeds Anglican Ministries - Provide ordained ministry within Leeds Anglican Ministries based on a written covenant - Work towards establishing a pastoral care team - Serve others by reaching out and responding to local and wider needs
FELLOWSHIP Be hospitable to one another without grumbling. ( 1 Peter 4:9)
We will: - Welcome newcomers and respond to their needs - Nurture the development and continuation of fellowship groups - Show appreciation to volunteers - Explore other possibilities for community-building social activities within LAM and local communities
MISSION Jesus said "Just as you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world." (John 17:18)
We will: - Honour the LAM Diocesan Ministry Task Force Covenant - Offer various opportunities for parish involvement in community events - Maintain and expand our social media and public presence to make ourselves and LAM better known - Encourage community use of parish resources
RESOURCES Jesus said "Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into your lap.” (Luke 6:38a)
We will: - Provide the financial resources to implement the ministries indicated in the current plan - Ensure that leadership teams communicate and consult regularly with all parish members regarding events, finances, proposed changes and wider church matters - Continue to implement Screening In Faith - Continue ongoing assessment of all parish facilities for safety, accessibility and maintenance requirements - Continue the oversight of St. Anne's cemetery
