The Baycrest Foundation supports programs and services that promote excellence in care, research, innovation and education in aging and brain health. As the charitable arm of Baycrest, the Foundation provides crucial funding for areas such as ongoing programs and a continuum of care services for our community; innovative research into cognition, dementia and brain health; and local, national and international education that supports the vision of creating a world where every older adult enjoys a life of purpose, inspiration and fulfilment.Our COVID-19 response is a Safeguarding our Seniors (SOS) campaign to raise funds for:
- personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline workers, patients, residents and visitors
- screening and additional cleaning
- educational materials to help others in the long-term care sector with training on COVID-related issues
- technology to allow outpatients to receive telemedicine care in the safety of their homes
- and new ways to deliver social and recreational programming to engage isolated seniors and support their family caregivers
