This summer, we've planned to bring our Balance Bike Summer Camps to almost 300 young children across Vancouver. Kids on Wheels camps teach essential riding skills, confidence, and a love of active transportation, to kids aged 2-5.
Due to severe funding shortfalls, however, our camps are at risk of being cancelled.
- Out of $150,000 in grants we've sought from both the federal government and private foundations, just $4,800 has been approved.
- This is barely enough to hire one instructor!
- We need at least $30,000 on top of that. These funds allow us to support passionate and talented instructors, program development and outreach.
Your sustaining donation will give hundreds of kids a fun, empowering, and life-changing camp experience this Summer or through afterschool camps beginning in the Fall.
