Over the past thirty-three years, Vancouver’s Presentation House Gallery has grown to become one of Canada’s most important and internationally acclaimed public art galleries. The only gallery in Western Canada dedicated to photography, it has presented more than 200 exhibitions, earning a reputation as a cultural venue unique for its specificity, focus and global reach.
With a mandate to exhibit and disseminate photography and media art, emphasizing contemporary Canadian work within a context of historical and international art-making, Presentation House Gallery organizes national and international exhibitions, produces award-winning publications, and offers engaging public events and art education programs. Some of the world’s most important artists, both local and international, have been featured at the Gallery–from acclaimed Vancouver photographers Stan Douglas and Fred Herzog to world-renowned artists Ansel Adams and Andy Warhol. The Gallery is committed to offering the community diverse experiences which will enrich viewers with new considerations about the world which they live.
