The wonderful local music teachers are sharing their culture with the students at the elementary school run by Kuwangisana, Sete Montania (Seven Hills Academy) which is in rural Mozambique.The children learn the ABCs in the morning, and in the afternoon they learn to play and dance to the valimba. The valimba players have won district championships for their excellent performances. The music program is a key resource for the children, giving confidence and joy to many who have lost their parents to AIDS. Donations will help The Caia Connection to continue the music program by paying teachers and building traditional instuments.
