about

Our Mission

To collect, preserve, interpret, exhibit and conserve artifacts and archival records connected with the human history of northern Vancouver Island.

About the Campbell River and District Museum and Archives Society

The modern, international class Museum at Campbell River offers vibrant exhibits unfolding the rich heritage of First Nations cultures and development of coastal lifestyles, especially in relation to logging, fishing and the unique experience of floathouse life. The nationally important collection holds ethnographic, historic, archaeological and archival material of the northern Vancouver Island area; the Museum also has year-round programs, a Museum Shop specializing in original First Nations art and "history outdoors" including west coast native plant gardens and large artifacts.
