We are dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusion, supporting cultural development, and encouraging civic engagement.
Founded in 1977, the Canadian Caribbean Association of Halton (CCAH) is dedicated to promoting cultural awareness, education, and community engagement across the Halton Region. Our mission is to celebrate Canadian-Caribbean heritage, strengthen community connections, and create programs that empower residents of all ages.
Our work is guided by four core pillars:
Education
We work with Halton schools to provide cultural learning experiences, advocacy, and programming that help students understand and appreciate Caribbean history and contributions.
Culture
We promote Caribbean culture through music, arts, performances, and creative programs that showcase the traditions and diversity that enrich our region.
Community
We deliver events, youth programs, and cultural activities that bring people together, build connection, and strengthen awareness of Caribbean heritage in Halton.
Harmony
We support research and partnerships that deepen understanding of diversity and inclusion, helping to foster a more connected and equitable community.
CCAH continues to grow through collaboration, creativity, and a strong commitment to serving Halton with integrity, representation, and cultural pride.
