The Red Cross is working to get help to those impacted by Hurricane Melissa in the Caribbean region as quickly as possible. Money raised will enable the Red Cross to provide immediate relief, support recovery efforts, and resilience and preparedness and capacity strengthening activities for future events. The activities and areas impacted may evolve based on emerging needs and compounding future events.
The Government of Canada will match donations from individuals to the Canadian Red Cross Hurricane Melissa Appeal from October 28 to November 24, 2025, to a maximum of $1.5 million. Every $1 donated by individuals will become $2 to support people most affected by the hurricane.
