OBJECTIVE:  To encourage the graduate and undergraduate students enrolled in Canadian Universities to participate in conferences and competitions in the field of bioengineering, agricultural, food and biological engineering.

PURPOSE: The CSABE/SCGAB Foundation has three primary purposes:

- Assists in undergraduate student registration for the CSABE/SCGAB Annual General Meeting (AGM);

- Recognizes academic excellence among CSABE/SCGAB undergraduate student members with the CSABE/SCGAB Foundation Undergraduate Scholarship ($400/student);

- Offers funding ($500/team) to eligible student teams that participate in a recognized bioengineering competition. The Foundation thereby encourages students to gain teamwork experience and to learn by comparing their efforts and ideas with those of others.  Such projects also provide visibility for bioengineers’ role in improving agriculture, the food system, and the environment.
