Our Mission
Protecting animals from neglect, abuse and exploitation; advocating for their interests and ensuring their well-being; raising public awareness and helping to foster compassion for all sentient beings: this has been the mission of the Montreal SPCA for over 150 years. This work is the cornerstone of our organization and it guides our daily actions.
About Montreal SPCA
In addition to taking in, caring for, rehabilitating and rehoming thousands of abandoned animals every year, the Montreal SPCA plays a vital role in animal protection and welfare across Quebec. In 2022, the Montreal SPCA further embraced its leadership role, by lending its voice in many ways to all animals suffering in silence, regardless of their species. The SPCA took centre stage, not only to help the animals we see every day but also the wildlife we come across more and more often in the city.
