The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority's mission is to preserve and restore the natural environment of the Cataraqui Region watersheds and to educate the community on conservation practices.
About THE CATARAQUI REGION CONSERVATION AUTHORITY
The Cataraqui Region Conservation Authority is an environmental advisory and protection agency based out of Kingston, Ontario. Our jurisdiction spans more than 3,500 sq. km of land in 11 different municipalities, including Kingston, Gananoque, Brockville and Newboro.
The CRCA owns more than 4000 hectares of conservation land. We purchase land to protect it from being developed, preserve natural features and wildlife habitat, provide public access to the natural environment and undertake water management projects, such as flood control.
