We are one of Canada's largest, busiest and boldest theatres. Over the last decade, The Citadel has developed and produced 22 World Premieres, 13 of which have subsequently been produced elsewhere. Last year, Peter Pan Goes Wrong opened on Broadway, making it the third production now on Broadway that the Citadel had a hand in developing! Hadestown and SIX both continue their incredibly successful Broadway runs.
The Foote Theatre School provides year-round classes for over 1,000 students annually. Students of all ages and experience levels can explore Acting, Musical Theatre, Playwrighting, Improvisation, and so much more! We also have multiple advanced training and mentorship opportunities for aspiring, emerging, and mid-career artists, from age 16 up.
