About Concordia

Faith, Health and Community... in 1928 our legacy was created by a small group of people who formed the Mennonite Hospital Society Concordia.  Here we are 90 years later.   Concordia is more than a Hospital in northeast Winnipeg. It is a thriving community campus serving the needs of all who enter its doors. The Concordia Campus comprises of Concordia Hospital, Concordia Place,Concordia Hip & Knee Institute, Concordia Foundation, Concordia Village, Concordia Wellness Projects Inc., and the Concordia Community Clinic. Concordia provides health and wellness services to the surrounding urban and rural community with quality care in a client-centred environment.

The Foundation's vision is to achieve exceptional philanthropy for health, housing and research, enabling Concordia to be a leader in exemplary care, innovation and academic excellence.

• Concordia Place in 1998 (a long-term care facility adjacent to Concordia Hospital, consisting of 140 beds)
• Two new operating rooms in the Hospital
• $3.7 million Emergency Room Redevelopment and Renovations Project (with special thanks to generous support from our donors and significant grants received from The Winnipeg Foundation and the Sir Thomas Cropo Foundation)
• Concordia Hip & Knee Institute (opened in 2009)
• Concordia Community Clinic Project (opened in July 2013) - fully integrated clinic in a hospital setting
