The Crescent Valley Resource Centre (CVRC) is a neighbourhood-based facility serving the residents of Crescent Valley, Anglin Drive and beyond. Approximately 400 families comprise this area. The CVRC offers free programming and services aimed at building leadership and resiliency in individuals and families and promoting healthy and active lifestyles. Connecting with individuals in priority neighbourhoods is contingent upon a high level of engagement and placing decision making, responsibility, and opportunity in the hands of residents – building capacity and connectivity in the neighbourhood. The CVRC works with many partners, helping us to make those connections with residents who are facing a variety of challenges. We work to empower them, help them achieve healthy lifestyles and develop personal growth and leadership skills. The programs and services we offer are varied, free, and give us the opportunity to work with children and youth, adults and seniors to address issues prevalent in low income neighbourhoods; those programs include literacy initiatives, summer camps, health and wellness services and food security programs.

Funders and supporters include three levels of government, business, individuals, foundations and others.
