Our Projects

The Demeter Project currently supports two environmental education projects: Northwatch and We the Nuclear Free North. You can select the project you wish to support with your donation today by using the menu at the right on this donation page. The default is set to "Northwatch"; click on the menu under the caption "Apply your donation to a fund set up by this charity" to select "Nuclear Free North / We the Nuclear Free North" or include your preferred / recipient project in your donation message. Funds donated to The Demeter Project will be used for Demeter's small project granting fund. 

Our Mission

The Demeter Project was founded in 1994 as a charitable organization focused on collaborative projects for the purpose of environmental education.

About THE DEMETER PROJECT

The Project’s earlier emphasis on environmental and sustainability education for younger learners has broadened in more recent years to encompass the learning needs of the whole community, including those that can be met through community activities and programs for the adult learner.

The Demeter Project encourages experiential and place-based exploration of ideas, issues and solutions as important components of developing environmental literacy.
