Thank you for your amazing generosity as a supporter of The Denise House. Thanks to you, women and children victims of violence and abuse have access to safe shelter, meals and support services.
Each year approximately 230 women and 100 children live at The Denise House; approximately 400 more receive support and counselling through our Community Support Services. And that doesn’t come close to meeting the growing demand here in Oshawa. You may be surprised to learn that The Denise House provides for 32% more families than we are funded to serve by the government. We do this because of the urgent need in our community. Community supporters like you make up the shortfall.
