The Diaper Bank of Toronto helps fill a critical and otherwise unmet need for diapers among the most vulnerable in our community. The Diaper Bank believes that clean diapers are a basic need for babies and their caregivers, and we believe families shouldn't have to make tough choices between clean diapers and other necessities. Yet 1 in 4 children in Toronto live in poverty and these families are at risk or have experienced diaper need, and Huggies® tells us 1 in 5 Canadian parents has been there, cutting back on essentials to keep babies in clean diapers.

The Diaper Bank partners with organizations that have direct experience and expertise working with high needs communities, particularly those located in Toronto’s inner suburbs, where child poverty is greatest.

The first drive in 2010 collected over 15,000 diapers, and the bank has been growing ever since.

The Diaper Bank works hard to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing the challenge of diaper need, one diaper at a time.

HOW WE HELP

The Diaper Bank works hard to collect and distribute diapers in a number of ways. Our dedicated volunteers offer their porches as convenient drop-off points for donated diapers. This allows individuals in the community to contribute whenever they can and creates a network of support that spans across Toronto. Additionally, we actively connect companies, communities, and individuals interested in hosting diaper drives with our partner organizations capable of distributing these vital resources to families in need.Our fundraising efforts means we can continue to fill the gap by ordering diapers directly to our partners in order to support the immediate need for families with little ones.
