St. Stephen's in Salvage is the fourth oldest wooden Anglican Church in Newfoundland, and is one of the few built in a Gothic revival Style.

As a parish church serving Salvage and area, has welcomed more than 2000 persons to the family of Christ through the Sacrament of Baptism, and has been a symbol and location of inspiration, teaching, service and worship for generations.

Declining numbers of faithful supporters and the resulting gap between income and expenses has made it difficult to continue ministry there.

The building needs much work, but our immediate concern is a foundering foundation. The building has been examined by engineers, and has been declared unsafe and unstable. It is now closed, and must be repaired quickly. Unless we are able to secure funds, St. Stephen's has no future.

At a recent public meeting there was a show of support from the general public which has encouraged the vestry (constituted leadership team) to try and save both our congregation and building. Time is short, and we invite your help.
