As we enter the season of Advent, a time of hope and expectation, we invite you to join us in reflecting on the transformative power of faith, community, and compassion. Advent is a season of waiting for the light of Christ and an opportunity to bring light to those around us.
The Ecumenical Chaplaincy at the University of Toronto is dedicated to walking alongside students, staff, and faculty, offering spiritual care, a listening ear, and a place of refuge in the midst of academic and personal challenges. Through pastoral care, interfaith conversations, worship, prayer, spiritual practice, and community meals, we provide a space where all can feel welcomed and supported. This ministry is only possible through the generous support of individuals like you. Your contributions allow us to:
- Provide meals and fellowship opportunities to students who may feel isolated or far from home.
- Host retreats and programs that encourage spiritual growth and mental well-being.
- Offer pastoral care and counselling to students navigating the pressures of university life.
- Support initiatives that nurture understanding and collaboration across different faith traditions.
In the spirit of Advent, we ask for your support to continue this vital ministry. Whether through a one-time donation or a commitment to ongoing giving, your generosity makes a tangible difference in the lives of those we serve.
A gift of $10 provides a free meal and point of connection to a lonely or disconnected student.
A gift of $50 makes it possible for an international student with limited resources to attend our upcoming spiritual life retreat.
A gift of $100 allows us to invest in student leadership through graduate interns and reach the goal of pay equity for our diverse and growing staff more quickly.
A gift of $200 allows us to host weekly community gatherings that bring together and nourish a diverse group of students through prayer, discussion, and food.
As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ, we invite you to partner with us as we co-create a world that reflects God’s love, hope, joy, and peace. Your prayers, partnership, and financial support are a gift to this ministry and to all those we serve.
May this Advent season be a time of renewal for you and your loved ones.
