The Donna Powell Legacy Fund was established at the Edmonton Community Foundation to provide educational support for students who are committed, engaged and active in their community.
Donna was raised in Saskatchewan and came to St. Albert in 1973 after completing her Bachelor of Education with a major in fine arts at the University of Saskatchewan. She spent her career in the St. Albert School District, at Paul Kane, Wild Rose, Muriel Martin and Bellerose.
Her deep commitment to helping students be successful in their lives, and her wonderful artistic creations - whether 3D cookies or her amazing paintings - will be remembered by all who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the lives of people she's touched.
The Legacy Fund will support scholarships for Bellerose Composite graduating students.
