The intent and purpose of the Fund is to assist students who have exhibited leadership within the Polish community in pursuing their post-secondary education at the University of Alberta.

Our passion for supporting young Polonia at the University of Alberta originates from our own experiences during this period of our lives. Our group was first brought together through the social activities of the University of Alberta Polish Students Association. The Association created an opportunity to both meet students with similar cultural experiences, as well as to deepen our knowledge and passion for Polish culture. Our shared experience and involvement in Polish, student led, cultural activities has been formative in developing our life long commitment to Polonia in Edmonton.

We feel an immense gratitude for the cultural experiences and friendships we developed during our time with the University of Alberta Polish Students Association. We feel a responsibility to support the next generation of students at the University of Alberta, empowering them to embrace their Polish culture during their university experience. This Polish Student Leadership Scholarship is a step in supporting the next generation of Polish Student Leaders who will continue to make these experiences possible at the University of Alberta.
