Richard Latte was thoughtful and kind, with an authentic, gentle spirit. The purpose of the Richard Latte Educational fund is honor this man, who tragically passed away at the young age of 22 of testicular cancer; by awarding a yearly bursary to an attending student at NAIT(Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) currently enrolled in the Electronics Engineering Program. Richard was an honor student in this program when he passed away.
Funds are also used for the purpose of maintaining "Richard's Reading Room" at Youth Empowerment & Support Services. YESS is a not-for-profit organization unconditionally devoted to helping youth facing difficult realities.
The Educational fund is a registered endowment fund administered by the Edmonton Community Foundation.
