Waldorf education cultivates three principal faculties in children: thinking, feeling and willing. As such, it is often described as education for the “head, heart and hands.” “Head” refers to the ability to think clearly and independently. “Heart” refers to the capacity for feeling emotionally connected to one’s work and the world at large. “Hands” refers to the willingness to take action to achieve one’s goals and to contribute to the world..
About Our Charity, the FDERSM
The Fonds de développement de l'École Rudolf Steiner de Montréal (FDERSM) was created in 1996 to support the school in its growth, stability and development. It is a non-profit organization and today the focus of the Foundation is to provide for:
- accessibility for lower-income families via financial aid
- continuing education for our teachers
- the on-going transformation of the building (which formerly was a library)
In recognition of these goals, Parents, Alumni and Friends of the school offer annual financial support to make them a reality.
We are welcoming children from 18 monts to 14 years old.
