About Gathering Place, Community Food Centre
The Gathering Place is North Bay's Community Soup Kitchen. We are a not-for-profit organization and a registered charity.
Funding:
We do not receive any funding from any level of government. Our entire operational budget is dependent upon donations from individuals, groups and businesses.
Facility:
We have a warm, friendly, barrier-free building with a commercial grade kitchen, 26 seat dining room, two washrooms (one handi-cap accessible) and a small office.
Dining Room Hours:
Our dining room is open for lunch Monday to Friday from 11:30AM - 1:30PM.
Family Friday is open to households of 2 or more people. Every Friday we are open from 4-6, and guests can stop in for some frozen meals and grocery items.
We are a food distribution hub. We provide meals and grocery items to church food banks, group homes, shelters, social agencies and youth programs across the city.
