To Provide food and shelter in a safe familial environment within North Simcoe that cares for those in physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual need.
To encourage understanding of the needs in our community regarding fundamental human rights to food and shelter.
About Our Charity
Born from the Out fo the Cold movement The Guesthouse Shelter seeks to reduce the risks of homelessness by providing good meals, emergency shelter, community gathering space, and related essential services to the homeless and vulnerably housed. Since November 2012, we have welcomed over 700 individuals to our site, providing over 50,000 meals and 8,000 nights of lodging. Additional supports include laundry, shower, toiletries and connections to partner agencies. Your gift to The Guesthouse Shelter supports ongoing operations and maintenance. Currently we are raising capital to complete necessary renovations to relocate our services to a permanent safe location.
