Our Mission

The Heart of Hastings Hospice is a community-based, volunteer organization, dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals and their families who are facing the terminal phase of their illness. The Heart of Hastings Hospice will assist these people to remain in their home longer and support those wishing to die at home or in the Heart of Hastings Hospice 2-bed Residential House located in Madoc, Ontario.

The Heart of Hastings Hospice provides community-based volunteer in-home and residential care giver support in the Municipalities of Centre Hastings, Marmora & Lake, Tweed, Tudor & Cashel, and the Townships o Madoc and Stirling-Rawdon. The Heart of Hastings Hospice is dedicated to meeting the needs of individuals and their families who are facing the terminal phase of illness, as well as offering bereavement support to family/caregivers following the death of a loved one.

The Heart of Hastings Hospice is a non-profit organization partially funded by the government, but depends on donations and fundraising to meet budget requirements.
