This fall, The Howl Experience and Asitu’li~sk are bringing together 18 Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth to play an active role in saving one of the last remaining old-growth Hemlock forests in Nova Scotia, while building deep connections to the history, people, and knowledge of this area.
With an approach rooted in Etuaptmunk (Two-Eyed Seeing), this immersive, 7-day program offers youth from across Canada first-hand insight into how traditional ways of knowing are shaping sustainable solutions to some of the most pressing challenges of our time.
Reaching youth from rural, remote, and historically underserved communities across Canada is a top priority for Asitu’li~sk and Howl. It’s also one of our biggest expenses.
We're seeking your support to help us reach those who have the most to give and receive from this program.
Your support will be used to offset tuition and travel fees for participating youth, offering them a once-in-a-lifetime chance to live in community with peers from diverse backgrounds while building life-changing skills, teachings and confidence that will bring healing to the forest, themselves, and their home communities.
