In the wake of Hurricane Melissa, the people of Jamaica face a devastating humanitarian crisis. Lives have been lost, thousands are displaced, and critical infrastructure such as schools, hospitals, and homes have been destroyed. The need for help is urgent.
The Partnership
Jamaica Foundation Hamilton (JFH) in Partnership with the Afro-Canadian Caribbean Association (ACCA) and Hamilton Caribbean Women’s Group (HamCar) will host several fundraising events across the City of Hamilton under the theme “Hamilton Loves Jamaica”.
On Saturday November 8, 2025, there will be a benefit concert at a VENUE: Michelangelo Events and Conference Centre 1555 Upper Ottawa St Hamilton………Doors open at 5:00 PM. Show starts: 6:00 PM.
On Sunday November 16, 2025, 2:00pm – 5:00pm, ACCA hosts “Fabulicious” a lively afternoon event featuring delicious tastes, live performances and more.
A donation center has been established at ACCA’s Banquet Hall at 754 Barton St E, Hamilton to receive needed items (please refer to the needs list). Call 905 385 0925 for the donation schedule.
Funds collected from all these events will go directly to the Office of the Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) in Jamaica.
